The Purple Iris at Hartwood Mansion | Martinsburg, WV
Everyone know the weather is unpredictable. Even the day of, it seems like you can never depend on the forecast. It’s a bride’s worst nightmare, especially with an outdoor wedding. However, Kimberly and Kyle chose the Purple Iris at Hartwood Mansion as their venue and that makes all the worrying and panicking go away. The staff there is amazing in a place that is beyond beautiful and the possibilities for an indoor or outdoor wedding is a bride’s dream. So at the last minute when a thunderstorm started approaching, everyone was scrambling to get all the chairs inside and set up in their glass room. It almost looked like it had been there the whole time and everything just fell into place after that. By the time the ceremony was over, the unexpected thunderstorm had passed and we were able to all go outside for photos. With all the craziness of the day I couldn’t have asked for a better bride to handle it with. Kimberly is calm and gentle, sweet and down-to-earth. She didn’t let much get to her that day and she just went with the flow and had smiles all around. The rain stayed away for the rest of the day for them to have an amazing reception as well as the perfect sparkler sendoff to end their day! Congratulations to Kyle and Kimberly!
